Recycling Outreach and Education

Our team of Recycling Outreach Coordinators is available to provide recycling education services to businesses, schools and multifamily complexes, to provide site assessments, and to make recommendations for developing or expanding recycling programs. In addition, periodic newsletters will be mailed to customers to encourage participation in recycling and composting programs. Newsletters will provide important information about hazardous waste disposal, reuse and diversion opportunities and other general notices including holiday collection schedule changes, holiday tree collection options, etc. For more information and useful resources, explore this website further using the links above.

Split-Body Collection Vehicles

Some communities will be seeing new dual-compartment trucks on their residential routes. These trucks have a split body with a compartment for both recycling and solid waste so both material types can be collected in a single pass. This will reduce truck trips down neighborhood streets by one third. All collection vehicles are fueled by ultra-low sulfur diesel for reduced emissions and particulate matter.

Business Recycling

We offer free recycling to all commercial accounts and free site visits by experienced recycling outreach staff to help you identify recycling and other diversion opportunities to both minimize waste and your solid waste costs.

Make a commitment to Go Green

Waste reduction is more than just recycling bottles and cans. Make a commitment to reduce the use of disposable and single-use products and to "close the loop" by purchasing products made of recycled content. Learn more about local programs such as hazardous waste disposal and about other reuse and diversion programs by exploring this website further.

Compost Your Veggies
Reduce your food waste
Residential customers can now place vegetative food waste in their yard waste carts. Compost your fruits and vegetables, pasta and tea bags along with yard and garden trimmings.
