Recycling Resources for Businesses



1.) Free Internal Recycling Containers! Visit www.bottlesandcans.com to sign up for a free recycling container from the California Refund Value (CRV) Program. They have different options for restaurants, offices, and gyms. Limit 1 per order but you can order multiple times.



2.) Support a Non Profit!

  • Rapid Refill Ink provides cash for each ink jet & laser toner cartridges recycled with their Collection Bin Program. The recycling program is a low effort, no cost fundraiser that helps the environment and earns money for your favorite non profit organization.   • The Computer Recycling Center in Santa Rosa will accept old computers, monitors, and laptops from businesses as a donation to a charitable cause. The computers are refurbished and donated to schools and non profits in need. All unusable parts are environmentally recycled. They also accept cable, circuit boards, HDD, and other electronic parts.   • Santa Rosa Cartridge World Accepts Used Toner and Ink Jet Cartridges: Cartridge World hosts cartridge drives and donates proceeds to Laguna de Santa Rosa, and to promote Arbor Day will also donate a tree in your name for every 3 cartridges you bring in. 2240 Mendocino Ave, Santa Rosa 95403 (707) 542-6970


3.) Free Office Paper for Recycling! Office Depot will provide customers with a free ream of EnviroCopy paper (500 sheets) in exchange for each empty ink and toner cartridge brought into the store for recycling. More information is available at any store location.



4.) Online Materials Exchange:

  • Sonomax conserves energy, resources, and landfill space by helping businesses and organizations find alternatives to the disposal of valuable materials or wastes through waste exchange. Visit www.Sonomax.org for more information.

5.) Close the Loop & Buy Recycled! In order to provide a market for recycled materials we must buy recycled products to keep using them again and again:

10.) Want to be Acknowledged for your Environmentally-Minded Practices? The Waste Reduction Awards Program (WRAP) is administered by the California Integrated Waste Management Board. WRAP provides an opportunity for California businesses to gain public recognition for their outstanding waste reduction efforts and lets community know your business takes waste reduction seriously. All businesses and private nonprofit organizations with California facilities are encouraged to apply for an annual WRAP award. Each business will be evaluated individually, based upon its own accomplishments. Award winners receive authorization to use the WRAP winner logo with their products, advertising, and business websites to publicize waste reduction efforts.
