North Bay Corporation takes waste reduction seriously and invites our customers to Take the Pledge to choose new behaviors that encourage waste reduction, conservation, reuse and recycling.

We want to publicly recognize businesses that make a commitment to take action to try new behaviors that can save money and the environment. Select three or more of the Go Green actions listed below that you will pledge to do. Get a cool window sticker that lets your customers and the public know you care about the environment. Continue doing these actions (and more!) to make them habit and the reward will be a greener world as well as cost savings to your business!

Be sure to choose actions that are new to you. Need help with some of these ideas? Call North Bay Corporation at 586-1478 and ask for a Recycling Coordinator, or explore our web site for more Go Green action ideas!

Buy Recycled Already buying recycled paper? Commit to identifying a product you now purchase that you will now purchase that is made from recycled materials. Closing the loop is an important part of recycling and reducing the need for virgin natural resources.
Discover SonoMax Identify a “waste” product you now generate that might be valuable to someone else. Visit www.sonomax.org and list the material. Reducing what you toss can reduce your garbage bill and save natural resources.
Reduce Your Waste Size What’s in your trash? Are you receiving product packaging or materials from manufacturers that is a waste?
Take It Back Provide a “Take Back” opportunity to your customers for a product you sell that requires special handling or disposal. For example, if you sell household batteries, fluorescent tubes or electronic products, permit customers to bring these materials back to you for proper recycling or disposal.
Ditch Disposables Provide reusable plates, flatware and mugs in your employee lounge and encourage employees to use a real water glass at the water cooler. Take it to the next step by making the commitment to rent or buy reusable party supplies for the next company BBQ or party.
Green Power Work towards greener business practices by investing in energy efficient technologies for your business and/or generating your own power. PG&E is offering a large number of incentives and rebates for customers going green. For more information, go to http://www.pge.com/biz/rebates/
