- Tree trimmings (less than 4 inches in diameter and 4 feet long)

- Aluminum foil
- Ceramic dishware or glassware
- Cooking Oil
- Corks
- Cutlery labeled "Compostable" or "Biodegradable"
- Dairy
- Diapers
- Dirt, rocks, or stones
- Flower pots or trays
- Glass bottles
- Juice or soy boxes
- Kitty litter or animal feces
- Lumber
- Meat scraps
- Palm fronds
- Plastic bags
- Plastic labeled "Compostable" or "Biodegradable"
- Plastic utensils
- Plywood, pressboard, painted and stained wood
- Treated wood
- Poison oak cuttings
- Styrofoam
- Vegetable wood crates
- Waxed cardboard and paper
