Free Once a Year Large Item Collection Service
Redwood Empire Disposal provides a once a year free collection service for large items, by appointment, for residential customers in the City of Healdsburg.
This free service includes discarded household items that are too large to be placed in collection carts. Household appliances such as washers, dryers and refrigerators, furniture, mattresses, carpet, exercise equipment, household electronics such as stereos, televisions, computers, VCRs and landscaping materials, tires and other similar items can be collected. This free collection service is available once a year per customer, but additional items can be collected for a fee.
Residents are limited to three large items per pickup per year.
Refrigerators and freezers must be empty in order to be collected, and please be sure to secure the door for safety.
Prohibited items include hazardous waste, liquid waste, and propane tanks. Auto parts or any item with an internal combustion engine such as lawnmowers or weed eaters must be completely drained of fluids, or they will not be collected.
All items must be placed neatly at the curb. Loose material will not be collected.
