Only place materials that cannot be reused or recycled in your landfill bin
- Bags, cups, flat ware labeled as "Compostable" or "Biodegradable"
- Ceramic dishware or glassware
- 'Crunchy' plastics (like off a CD case or the lining of a cereal box)
- Diapers
- Glass mirrors and windows
- Incandescent light bulbs (NO CFCs)
- Kitty litter and animal feces (bagged)
- Metal coat hangers
- Pens and pencils
- Solid cooking grease
- Styrofoam
- Waxed cardboard
DO NOT place the following items in your trash cart!
- Appliances
- Asbestos
- Batteries
- Breads and grains
- Construction debris
- Cooking oil
- Dirt, rocks, stones
- Electronics
- Fluorescent light bulbs
- Furniture
- Household hazardous waste or chemicals
- Motor oil
- Meat scraps
- Needles or syringes
- Paint
- Recyclable cardboard, paper, plastics, glass
- Toys with electronics or circuitry
- Vegetable food scraps
- Yard trimmings
